True but they still don't need close-ups of e.g. mobile phones clearly 
showing the manufacturer when a character just receives a text.  All 
they need do is show the object (such as a car) being used but not (as 
appears in some cases) go out of their way to display the manufacturer's 
name.  In the case of  the sauce bottle example, just tell the actor to 
hold it so their palm covers the label, or just turn the label away from 
the camera.  There are simple free ways to avoid (blatant) product 
placement, but they just don't use them.
