According to Samsung's web site it's an SATA drive.  Do you have a 
desktop with SATA that you could try connecting it to?

Or alternatively if no one can help, this might be an option:

It's a 2.5" SATA to USB caddy.  Only about £7 inc VAT although you'd 
probably be looking at a couple of quid for delivery.
