[LUG] Tesco and Dell

Dear all

I wrote to customer.service@xxxxxxxxxxx as recommended in an earlier
post. I suggested the following:

"I gather you are about to sell Dell computers. In view of the
unprecedented monopoly that Microsoft have in the world of computing,
and the huge fines that are levied on them for anti-competitive
activities, and EU support for open standards, I believe you should sell
computers properly loaded with a Linux distribution such as Ubuntu. The
huge range of superb free software available in Linux makes it far and
away the best value for most people."

They replied:

"We were please to receive your comments regarding Dell computers.

We find all customer feedback incredibly valuable as this helps us when
we are looking at ways to make our service better. These will be
directed to the correct area of the business.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to get in touch with us."

A bit non-descript but at least it wasn't ignored. Maybe a few more
emails, perhaps with a different distro?
