Posted by "Berry Christopher" <christopher.berry1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Thanks friends for the suggestion of sudo which worked fine BUT I now need to edit the file snapscan.conf to put in esfw41.bin - when I try I get -- Warning: unknown mime-type for "etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf" -- using "application/*" Error: no write permission for file "etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf" I've tried with gedit but but I still get told that I have no write permission!!! Any suggestions?
