With the added handicap that drivers for one version of Windows cannot simply be updated for the new version by anyone except the original developers of the driver. At least with free software, anyone packaging the driver can update it for the latest kernel without waiting for the original supplier. i.e. all those old bits of kit that came with a nice CD may now require an updated driver and that driver can only come from the original supplier - most of whom haven't got to grips with Vista themselves yet. Integrated development? No chance. Collaboration needs access to the changes - the big players may be able to get that from MS but the smaller peripheral companies have to wait, so their users have to wait as well. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
