Rather shortsighted in my opinion. Looks like I won't be watching it. They're also forgetting that "PC" (personal computer) refers to the hardware. I have many PC's (running Linux of course) and I've not seen one of these 114,000 viruses yet. No wonder most of the population hasn't a clue about ICT, with MS and Apple filling their heads with all kinds of confusing "facts" in the pursuit of a sale. What I'd like to see is Ubuntu put some stronger marketing messages around so at least it's not just a two-horse race for mass-market operating systems. A bit like British politics, if the socialist outsider were to gain more ground it would be better for supporters of all parties AND the wider public, due to increased (and more varied) opposition / competition / choice.
