Not quite full support but there is a port of Familiar GNU/Linux to the
HP4000 series:

http://www.handhelds.org/hypermail/familiar/315/31581.html

That means Emdebian may be able to support your device by summer 2007.

Initially, it may be an upgrade from Familiar to an Emdebian version of
Debian testing (Lenny) by replacing ipkg with apt.

GPE packages are gradually moving into Debian (I've got 12 in the
queue) so synchronising should be trivial - with a genuine 2.6 linux
kernel on the iPAQ and ethernet-over-USB to a host GNU/Linux PC, rsync
is all you'd need. rsync the sqlite databases on the iPAQ to equivalent
databases on the PC and then export / report / analyse and merge data
as you need via various tools.

but if you're going to stick with Windows Mobile on that iPAQ . . .
;-)
