When I had my new computer built for me last May a floppy drive was included. Since
it is there I might as well use it but I find that I cannot access it. I am
wondering if I need to make a change in my /etc/fstab file. Here is a copy of the
current version
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/sda3
UUID=929a0593-4569-4ebf-a212-59206957ca42 / ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/sda7
UUID=95c3785d-e5da-429c-9038-46027bff705d none swap sw 0
0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
/dev/ /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
It is the last line that makes me wonder. Do I need to change the first bit to
/dev/floppy or some such? At the moment if I insert a DVD/CD into the computer it
sees it without any problem. If I insert a floppy the computer does nothing.
Thanks
