[LUG] Firefox won't start up

Hi Guys

Bit of an urgent problem here in that overnight Firefox shut down. Came in 
this morning and tried to run Firefox and it says:
Firefox is already running but not responding. To open a new window you must 
first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

I can't find a Firefox process and despite restarting twice I still can't open 
Firefox! Any ideas anyone please?
