ISSUE NOW RESOLVED - HERE IS WHAT I DID IF IT HELPS ANYONE

su
mount -t vfat /dev/hdb1 /slsk
nano /etc/fstab
/dev/hdb1    /slsk vfat  iocharset=utf8,umask=000  0    0

reboot.
