[LUG] Thunderbird spell check - not working

Hi

I have downloaded the GB spell check for thunderbird, xpi file, gone to 
tools,. extentions and installed,  and got confirmation it has been 
installed, restarted and under languages for the spell check it still 
says  download more, with no mention of GB dictionaries.

Using thunderbird 1.0.7, can anyone help please
