I was following this slashdot thread shortly after the Media show. If what the poster says about RIPA is true, it would be interesting to see how that stands up in court.
A while back I recall a bit of news about dead-dropping
which makes the "fight against terror" fall flat. Now encryption is really main stream watch the panic start under the
flag of prevention of terrorism.
And all the standard crap about adding a back door just in case the
government wants to check what you are up to.

Other worries :-

Now you have to wonder who defines "malicious programs", I suppose this
means road blocks for non Vista based OS's as well.
I think the solution to this problem is for **every** PC sold a employee
of MS, a government/police official and representation from Hollywood
etc all stand behind you while you use it to check what you are doing.
Hell why not just install this system in every house/company/car
regardless of weather there is a PC there or not as after all if you are
not committing crimes you have nothing to hide! (at least with all those
officials in the car you could use a car pool lane :) )
