The mailing list is open to anybody who's interested, but the union get
shirty about non-students being actual members (IIRC, they charge
£35/year for non-students to join). As I understand it, we've come
close enough to getting shut down in the last few years not to want to
risk it, but since I wasn't around at the time I'm not sure.
