No idea if that is correct, but:

That is perfectly normal.

One of mine:

top - 09:32:47 up 98 days, 23:55,  1 user,  load average: 0.04, 0.01, 0.00
Cpu(s):  22.2% user,  77.8% system,   0.0% nice,   0.0% idle
Mem:    252584k total,   248892k used,     3692k free,    27960k buffers

Probably just the cache.
