Well, yes, granted, but if the alternative is that you can't browse the website that you want to browse (or indeed need to browse) because they just don't let you in then faking the ID is better than nothing? This happened recently with the national lotteries website. They always used to block firefox users from logging in to their accounts, hence i got the extension. I noticed earlier that they don't anymore though.
