Hi my name is Charlie and as I've just joined this group I thought it polite to say hello!
Hello there!
While I'm not a complete newbie to Linux I wouldn't say I'm and expert, so with that in mind, I'll help out with any queries I can and no doubt I'll have some of my own in the future.
There is a real mix of skills in the group, if you have any questions I am sure someone will have an idea and there is a great range of experience as well.
I haven't really joined a user group like this before so I have no idea
about
the correct "etiquette" or whatever -so I guess I'll probably lurk around
for
a bit and see how things are here?
Normally a lot noiser than this, there are quite a few people on this list and sometimes there can be some quite *heated* discussion but then othertimes everyone must be hard at work doing stuff and there are not many posts. I think there are some basic etiquette guides on the (G)LUG website, if i recall.
I was pleased to find a Devon & Cornwall LUG as sometimes here in Devon you feel like your the only one using this wonderful think called Linux and the programs that go with it.
Theres *loads* of you in Devon! what do you think us in Cornwall feel like, lol :-) -- Robin Cornelius --------------------------------------------------- robin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.cornelius.demon.co.uk http://sourceforge.net/projects/rt2400 GPG Key ID: 0x729A79A23B7EE764 http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x729A79A23B7EE764
