Thanks, but this all went with the later drivers as in my second post.

The 840K video is practically perfect - indeed the image adjustments in
the camera are a bit too good and tends to make it look like the images
were taken on a bright sunny day (even today), I could switch them off
if I wanted, but on days like today any brightness is welcome.

I ought to fiddle with some debugging and see if I'm really on 30fps at
640x480, as I suspect the picture is a little jerky still for 30fps.

The 820K using the various ov51x drivers is disappointing, it works
after a fashion with gqcam, but not other apps - anyone have more joy
with this camera?
