Re: [LUG] More On The Patents/M$ Agenda

How can they patent something they did not come up with in the first place. Internet protocols are open, which is why they work, Most of these protocols are not even owned by Microsoft.

Just google "Microsoft To Patent Internet Protocols?".As one of the most powerful conglomerates on the planet,it would be naive to assume they can't manage to stake their claim "retrospectively".

How much of this is FUD, or are MS going to sue, China, and other third world counties, risking more anti american feeling while they get poorer, and MS and the US get richer. Some of this Anti american feeling led to 9/11.

No,the duplicity of the American administration/American foreign policy led to 9/11.

Since when did MS make international law, ?

Well,I guess it'd be called "setting a precedent".

Think this is spot on.
Additionally, someone did mention a while back that M$ was moving to patent the internet protocols.
