We are getting ADSL set up on a distant phone line, and it now should be enabled. But as yet no joy. A traceroute shows bouncing from one machine to another and back again over and over... That doesn't seem right, but perhaps it is - there is at this moment only the router attached to the far end, no computer. I'm unsure how to interpret this.
It's not something blindingly obvious is it? Default gateway on ge1-2-core3? ge1-2-core3 (81.5.191.37) isn't shunting all non-local traffic out to ge11-0-bba1 (81.5.191.38), and then ge1-2-core3looks at the routing table, and sends it back down to ge11-0-bba1? -- Artificial intelligence is no match for nuratal stidutipy. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
