A traceroute shows bouncing from one machine to another and back again over

It's not something blindingly obvious is it?  Default gateway on ge1-2-core3?  
ge1-2-core3 (81.5.191.37) isn't shunting all non-local traffic out to ge11-0-bba1 
(81.5.191.38), and then ge1-2-core3looks at the routing table, and sends it back 
down to ge11-0-bba1?
