| Anyone know about GNUCash?

Cough - Mr Neil Williams has been contributing code, although that
doesn't always mean you know how it works.

Some projects if you knew how it all hangs together you wouldn't
dare contribute more code ;) Or as they say "all programmers are
optimists".

| And alternatives, up to and including SQL Ledgers and Sage on
GNU/Linux?

There was a UK based ledger project mentioned on the AFFS list -
might check the archives. MJR can probably help on SQL Ledger, but
being in Norfolk he probably can't give demos, at least not live demos.

| Anyone becoming a guru on OOo, particularly the spreadsheet and
writer?

Nope, but I am using it more and more. Just like Word and Excel but
easier to use, and doesn't dump me into Visual Basic debugging when
things go wrong ;)

Funnily enough I just agreed to do some UserLinux training, to try
and kickstart some commercial sales of such in Exeter when it is
ready. So happy to fill any gaps if you are turning this into
something I can work with as well, you have to supply the coffee -
decaf please. Sure the UserLinux project needs a driving licence if
it doesn't have one already.
