[LUG] GLUGs and logos (and 2600)

Whilst the webmaster is on holiday......

The members will play.....

Hmm the dclug logo use to be done in Photoshop, and whilst the current
one seems photoshop free - it isn't as pretty as it was (is it my
eyesight or has it been smudged, probably some arty filterdone with
loving care and attention).

I think we need a competition for best logo....

In best RFC style...

Must be done on Linux
Should be done on free software
Bonus points for;

        geographical aptness
        penguins
        gnus
        calling it a glug
        stenographic secret messages
        unobtrusive "in jokes"
tasteful nudity (tux male or female? Enquiring minds want to know)
tasteless nudity (we won't use it but we'll have fun looking).

Simon

PS: Matt tells me this Friday is 2600 meet in Exeter....

PPS: Matt will probably tell me he already did a new logo for the
webmaster - but was it done on some fruity BSD variant?

Todays Utility: $ vrms - sends you regular nag messages if you use
non-free software without having to navigate your way out of anyone's
permanent vacation message utility (virtual reality = better than the
real reality). But then the "real thing" is boycotted right?
