[LUG] Guarddog firewall

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hi All,

looking at the various firewall options for my new box.

Guarddog looks suitable to me - but I'm missing something basic.

I can't get it to allow DNS from my local wired network to the local server.

If I chose to allow ping from "wired" to "local" it works, I can
suddenly ping by IP address, but enabling DNS doesn't work - disable the
firewall and it works straight away.

Does Guarddog always give the error/warning;

iptables: No chain/target/match by that name

When setting up a new config?

        Simon thinking iptables by hand may be simpler and more secure.
