[LUG] Thunderbird: expiring mail?

Anyone know if it's possible to auto delete mail which
has resided in Thunderbird's inbox for longer than
1 month (or 28 days)?

Kmail 1.5.1 has such a function but Kmail is a no-no for me.
It chokes if the smtp mail server replies with a multi-line
response (and my server does!).
This Kmail bug has been fixed in KDE 3.2 but I ain't going
down the KDE upgrade road. Too many bitter experiences.
