Does anyone know of URL's I can point our trainers in Torbay Council to with regard to (teaching ?) ECDL with Linux resources ?ECDL for Linux? I didn't know there was such a thing. Some people around here may be interested in that - if the Uni pays :-)
Out of interest, I DL'd the ECDL Advanced sample papers to try out with Open Office (OO). http://www.ecdl.co.uk/syllabus-pp.php?style=scn I couldn't get the spreadsheet paper as the link was broken. I had no problem with the WP. The presentation paper was mainly OK, although I struggled with one or two bits because of lack of practice. I couldn't paste a *linked* spreadsheet extract that would update and there doesn't seem to be a 'record macro' function in the presentation module. The database paper was rather more difficult. I'm familiar with MS Access and had no problems with the unit but, due to my limited knowledge of using OO to handle data sources, I'm still looking to find ways through many of the questions in OO. Has anybody else had a go?
