Orkut is a fad. http://tbray.org/ongoing/When/200x/2004/01/24/OrketEtc I tried out (the impressive) Friendster sometime ago after a talk at a semantics conference, which basically is the very same thing. A online social networking thang in which its novelty wears off in about a week. All these FOAF declarations online is a little sad.
