Some people have tried DNS and DHCP, but I think this is an over elaboration, and could break things, see the last comp.risks for what might happen if you divert random http sessions. Our problem is we can't guarantee to supply hardware to run Squid between the WAP and the Internet pipe, so we need a WAP that can do it, but still be cheap for another wireless project in the offing. If you can put Squid (or even just iptables) in the way you can readily force people to use it. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE/uCY2GFXfHI9FVgYRArc7AKCwh3bLGSFBGDbT+pljxd/Ig+LvbwCfUjIO 6IaMg2yY9W5LuDyO41uPd88= =/DTs -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
