Re: [LUG] Scanners/Linux

Linux uses a set of software to interface with scanners called "SANE"
The Sane web site [ http://www.mostang.com/sane/ ] has a list of supported
and unsupported scanners.

In my experience the newest scanners, i.e. those you are most likely to
find in shops, are least liikely to be supported. Another thing to watch
for is that some manufacturers will give what is basically the same
model, a different designation in America and Europe.

Having problems?
Click the "My Computer" menu, and then right click Drive C:.
On the Menu select - "This Sucks: Please replace current
operating system with Linux. And don't ask me again."
