[LUG] Fwd: Re: [lugmaster] There is nothing quite as wonderful as money...

What do people think about starting a LUG book library?

I've already had a few books from O'Reilly to review which could start off the library. Would anyone be interested in reviewing any O'Reilly books (maybe on a regular basis?).

I think it would be really useful to have a book library available to members as other LUGs do.

David.

Both O'Reilly and Pearson Education (who own SAMS, QUE, New Riders, etc) send
out regular email newsletters of new releases. Northants LUG has a team of
reviewers and we regularly request books to review. I made the decision early
on that books reviewed through the NLUG contacts goes in the group library. We
now have over 60 books available for members to borrow - seems to work really
well - but you have to tell them what books you want to review, they don't just
send them out on the off-chance ...

Give me a shout via email if you want some contact addresses for either
O'Reilly or Pearson ...

Kevin.
