[LUG] Almost there

Posted by "Gemma Peter" <gemma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have almost got things working on my laptop again. I can now enter rescue mode from the redhat cd. I had to set the display options at the boot prompt to prevent the white stripes as "linux rescue vga=791"

Now I have another problem (sorry) although I can get into the file system now and navigate it. I can't "mount" a floppy disk because access is denied to /bin/mount. Any suggestions?

I think I'll totally wipe my HDD and reinstall everything once I've retrieved my files. I was thinking of killing windows and using Wine instead. Does anyone use it on a regular basis? Is it any good?

What files do I need to retrieve my account setup and mail from Mozilla?
