I got as far as the bit about it running as a giant monolithic
executable, and lost interest.

I now know more about secure coding to appreciate that this in itself
isn't necessarily a universal evil, although I wasn't motivated to
review the source code.

Dan's code is always excellent so qmail is probably the most secure.

Postfix is where my happy compromise between usuability and security
lies. Oh and the IBM Public Licence is a thoroughly acceptable free
software licence to me, unlike the ambiguous position of some MTA's.
