[LUG] linux answerphone

Hi,

does anybody know of any answerphone software (ie operate a voice modem). I 
have looked at the vgetty package it looks like just the job only it dosn't 
quite work with my (external) pace 56kflex modem.

the only other packages i can find seem to be graphical wrappers for the 
vgetty/mgetty pair.
