Yup, KPPP is already configured such.

I assume this is the bit you're interested in:

OK, I've done that, before and after connection (just in case).  But still not 
anything, not even DNS.  Pinging a static IP gives "ping: sendmsg: Operation 
not permitted".

And now I have to start Firestarter to send this message... :-(
