Apropos the original thread, I am aware of one pretty major British
organisation who are using PHP-Nuke on their intranet and are happy with
the results.

But am I missing a point here?  We've hacked around Nuke, E2, crap like
that, but surely if you have consulted with the client its just a matter
of properly designing a database to meet their needs and then bunging a
bunch of Perl scripts on top to allow controlled access?
