Nope.  You choose.

Any Linux or BSD will do the job.  The one you're most comfortable
administrating will do the job best.

Caveat: if you have software that doesn't run on all platforms (eg
Xalan-C, which runs on Linux but not FreeBSD), then that's obviously
a factor.

Oh, and using Apache 2 would be a good idea unless you have a strong
reason to do otherwise.
