[LUG] Debian/Knoppix Was: Which Distro for secure server

I have a question about Knoppix actually...
I've installed to my hard disk, and it comes with KDE 3.0 - I want to
upgrade this to KDE 3.1, and I've tried a mixture of apt-get update,
apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist upgrade but it always seems to
completely hose KDE.
I added the deb http://etc line from the KDE website to my
/etc/apt/sources.list and it still wouldn't work.
Any ideas?
