name servers give authoritive answers for DNS records in domains they are set 
to be a DNS server for.

resolvers 'resolve' your DNS - they know how to find DNS records for other 
domains, they most probably cache records, and don't contain any 
'authoritive' information.

In this case, ns[1-5] are authoritive DNS servers scattered around the world, 
where as our resolvers, x.x.x.x are used by our customers on ADSL + Dialup 
that do the lookup on behalf of you, and live in telehouse.

both have distinct tasks .. one (nameservers) serves out the correct and 
authoritive information on domains it is a nameserver for, the other 
(resolvers) run away and find the answer for you.

There is probably a better name for 'dns server/nameserver', i just can't 
think of it off the top of my head ;)
