1.1G for a default debian installtion?  ouch?!

My latest default woody installation looks like this:

/dev/hda2              36G  231M   34G   1% /

thats just a plain default installation, with the following extra packages 
installed:

hdparm debconf cron util-linux debianutils pciutils sysutils time strace
file most less cfengine psmisc ssh dnsutils wget python binutils iproute 
traceroute tcpdump whois make lynx openssl telnet-ssl

I think it was just under 200MB on a totally vanialla instalation of woody, 
after security updates.
