Probably.. I re-compiled my kernel with all the right drivers.. I have the OHCI controler. however i use Debian, so can not comment on what is best to do.. perhaps a compilation with the correct drivers would be a good move...I screwed up my USB set up recently and eventually got it up and running again.
Yet while ploughing through the configuration I found this in /etc/sysconfig/kernel
INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs ide-scsi usbcore usb-uhci".
Yet doing lspci -v reveals that the USB controller is OHCI
Shouldn't the INITRD_MODULES have usb-ohci in it?
