I screwed up my USB set up recently and eventually
got it up and running again.

Yet while ploughing through the configuration I found this
in /etc/sysconfig/kernel

INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs ide-scsi usbcore usb-uhci".

Yet doing lspci -v reveals that the USB controller is OHCI

Shouldn't the INITRD_MODULES have usb-ohci in it?

Probably.. I re-compiled my kernel with all the right drivers.. I have the OHCI controler. however i use Debian, so can not comment on what is best to do.. perhaps a compilation with the correct drivers would be a good move...

What happens if you do lsmod ? does it list usb-ohci ? how about "modprobe usb-ohci" if it works then you have the ohci driver available to you. try backing up thte "/etc/sysconfig/kernel" file and changing the line.. trial by fire so to say.. but do remember to back up the file first...
