-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just lost a nicely crafted reply to Steve Marvell's question about GnuPG/PGP signatures. Mozilla bombed out (browser and all) when I tried to spell-check it - something I don't usually do but just thought I'd try. It would have been nice if Mozilla had warned that the spell module wasn't configured properly (which I presume is what's wrong) and even better if it could have said something about WHY and how to fix it. Turns out it was simply that a language hadn't been specified - instead 'Download more' was highlighted. When it found itself offline, Mozilla crashed. :-( Many people compose offline and shouldn't the default language from the rest of Mozilla at least be a starting point instead of assuming not to use the default? Also, how on earth do I get this composer window to show the text in a READABLE size. It's currently using size 6 font - about the smallest that my monitor can display. I've increased the size in the preview window but Mozilla refuses to transfer that preference into the composer and there's no apparent way of telling it otherwise. The to list occupies 25% of the screen area, the subject line and From lines are a massive font 18, the toolbar is the usual three lines high (two for the icons, one for text) but I'm stuck with this minuscule font when trying to do the most important thing an email client can do - compose a message!!! I've listened carefully to Simon's praise of Mozilla/enigmail, it's all configured and running, but there remain significant problems in using Mozilla as an email client. I don't see why I have to configure Postfix to run SpamAssassin for me when KMail can do the job with a truly petty amount of work. I'm aborting this session in Mozilla Mail before I get a headache. Back to KMail for me. - -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk http://www.dclug.org.uk -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE+JwXviAEJSii8s+MRAkUIAJ4hLFtIkSyr3kHS/4fvFPLP83dPlACeJq7E 7Q/X4FIQje5gbHMeYxCAGPE= =kN2N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
