Re: [LUG] thin clients: silent, right?

Our Server at Super Tramp sits to my Right on My desk. If its not wurring like a swarm of pissed off wasps, with regular interludes of of disk activty that sounds like the Viet Cong just broke cover, then I start typing TOP at the command line.

But Axel is not the solution to all silence issues. There is always a need
for a PC, you can't animate under thin Client. So a Quiet PC is a solution

except servers. - still noisy..)
Just a thought why not use Quiet PC components within your Server.(ideas?)

Lets not forget how this thread started. Adrian's question about thin
clients being quite enough for GP's front room.

How the hell it got on to Quiet PC components I don't know.

And what a ridiculous notion of a server being quiet. I want mine to hum
like a Chinese work camp. :)
