Thanks for the many replies. I cannot
believe there is a community of people out there so willing to help. Thanks
for all the offers of modems - work bought me one, which was a surprise
because technically I can still use the on-board one but they seemed happy.
I am currently playing with Mandrake 9.0
and it is excellent. It detected all my hardware with no problems. The main
reason I asked for help was because of a time factor but I have visited
the sites suggested and as you can imagine they were very helpful. And so
this afternoon I will be putting time aside to play and see if I can get
on-line and then maybe install some new applications. Any problems I'll
get back to you.
Does anyone know of a database that I can store
name and address details by catergories (user defined) and print as well?
