If you're talking wubblyu-wubblyu-wubblyu (still a mysterious area to me - the first time I went on line a train almost hit me), then I believe PHP has at least partially taken over from Perl as the fashionable tool for ciggy scripting (I think that may be something to do with tar archives). However, Perl slightly pre-dates Biggus Bangus Internetus and is very useful and fast for any data manipulation tasks like report formatting and data importing/exporting. Replaces tools like sed and awk and is both simpler and more powerful than shell scripting in a lot of cases. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
