the WWW original intent of platform neutral content is often underestimated.
If it works in lynx, it works in any browser. It might not look pretty, but thats ok. For bonus points, validate with w3c - choose what version. Lynx doesnt do HTMLL 3, but that doesnt mean you cant. Stay away from content in javascript/java/flash, if you must have them, include a seperate text link. E.G. http://www.guild.ex.ac.uk has a dreadful drop down menu in javascript. Thats fine - however there is no other way to go to those pages in lynx. Frames are fine, the noframes section should have a link to the inner frames at least. www.xtv.org.uk works fine in any html 1.0 compliant browser, doesnt look too bad in lynx either. However it looks very good (IMO ;) in moz/ie/konq. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
