Satelite, erk, expensive!

statellit isn't *that* expensive these days. inface, i've been dealign with a
few companies who have been given it for free as part of an rural
regeneration business thing, not sure on the exact details.

if you live outside of an ADSL area, there are cwertian situations businesses
can apply for grants.

The only thign is the horrible support for *nix unless it's an external router
with ethernet prot.

we're offering satellite ADSL as of next month (when BT finally sort thigns
out, supprise supprise ;p). The cost per month is fair bit less than
standard ADSL, but install costs can be a bit big, though renting the
equipment is really not too expensiive.

main problem is ACK spoofing - 600+ ms is quiet normal, urghghhg.

i'll probably get a satellite link here as soon as BT let us place orders,
mainly for reasons of "testing".

mmm, 1 ADSL, 1 cable, and 1 satelillite link. who said i was a bandwidth
whore ? ;-)
