[LUG] hacked woes

Hi all

I can't believe it; I've been hacked for the second
time -- both times from a windows trojan that log my
keystrokes as I type my password into putty (that will
teach me for logging in as root).

Is there any effective program that can do real time
system logging onto another Linux machine (so it makes
it harder for the cracker to cover his/her tracks).

Is it Outlook that runs macros or is it the word docs
that do it.
(sorry for asking a windows question)

When I connect to the internet (via my linux box),
which files do I need to modify to stop other people
on the internet from accessing my network services (it
should make my linux box 99.9% secure when on the
internet right?).

Is there a decent linux alternative to
Dreamweaver(only real reason why I still use windows).

Many thanks

Jody Salt
