2) why are there no (obvious) pppd dialer software for X on the 1st = debian CD... If anyone knows of such a beast that i can "slot in" to enable me to get = back online with linux (then get kppp perhaps ??) drop me a line..
I put a button on my desktop which runs the command 'pon' (I used the dial on demand option). You could get carried away and put one on there that runs the command 'poff'. (I found the debian pppconfig, pon/poff combination is the best I've seen so far) --Andy Weir------------------------------------------------------------- | Electrical & Electronics Engineer Work: andy.weir@xxxxxxxxxx | | AMIEE IEE Member No. 8266908 Play: andy.weir@xxxxxxx | | (http://www.iee.org.uk) | | _----_ | | Linux / \ | | Registered User #272048 _o_/ \ | | (http://counter.li.org) / \ /\ | | /| @ \_________________| | Say no to software patents! _____|_\@@ | | (http://petition.eurolinux.org) @@@ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
