You need pain ;)

People won't change what they do until it hurts. 

Indeed sometimes they'll put up with considerable pain, if they
think the doctors suggestions will hurt as well, or they are
scared of the alternatives.

They have comfort factor, heck M$ products are probably
installed and paid for, so the biggest pain (parting with money)
is already gone.

Assuming the pain stops when the stuff is installed.

IME this may only be the start of problems.
