Depends what they intend plugging into it.

My modem, router, and speakers :) all have transformers which need to
go into a three pin plug. The solution is, of course, is to whip the 3
pin plug off of an extension cable and throw on whatever the UPS
wants.

In which case you probably want a male IEC to 4 way block.

Easiest way to make one of these is to take a molded male-female
IEC lead (for some strange reason the 2m long versions of these
are often the cheapest) chop the female plug off then connect
to a 4 way block.
