[LUG] python license issue

Been fiddling with python lately, and I have come up with a little tool
to keep my shooting stats:

Does anyone know how the Python license works briefly? Can I license it
under the GPL?

Well, after messing with purl for last few years I must say python
rules! Even Raymond thinks so too. ;)
