Dunno I have a fax machine on the voice line, since signing up with the mailing and telephone preference services I don't get many junk faxes either, alas Faye hasn't signed up with the mailing preference service.
are there no laws about unsolicited telephone calls? surly people have the right to be left alone without being bothered.

I guess this leads to whether email spam should be illegal in the UK. At least you can track telephone calls more easily. (well, the telco can).
Come on email isn't that hard to track, it is more a question of what you do with the originating IP address. I have 2 rules in Netscape that pick up most of the spam delivered here (apart from the UK Cheapest loans, who seem to be going alphabetically through all the email addresses, and SMTP message ID's in the DCLUG list archive, and have just got to "Simon" (It has been quiet since they left "F" behind and thus stopped emailing SMTP message ID's <doh>).
